SureID secures transportation and dispensing of controlled substances by controlling access to the bulk bottle as well as controlling access to the contents within, with Intelligent Locking Caps™ (ILCs). Software-driven Intelligent Locking Caps are reusable caps that replace or cover the existing closure on bulk medication bottles and control access to the contents. The ILC only unlocks when it is digitally authorized to do so.

Access to the medications is controlled based on configurable access rules, such as authenticating the pharmacist, to eliminate access by unauthorized participants.

The ILC communicates to the SureID reader, enabling remote monitoring, creation of an electronic audit trail, and the ability to measure physical inventory electronically in real time.
